Verizon is on a roll today - the carrier just announced a couple of recent Android tablets to go with the white Motorola Droid RAZR. The DROID XYBOARD tablets come in 10.1" and 8.2" flavors and carry pretty attractive price tags.

The fancy names aside, these are merely the LTE editions of the Motorola XOOM 2, and XOOM 2 Media Edition, which where announced a month ago. To refresh your memory, they sport 1280x800 pixel IPS displays and 1.2Giga Hertz (GHz) dual-core processors bundled with 1GB of RAM.

Connectivity is covered nicely: there's Wi-Fi, HDMI port and an infrared port (so the tablets can be used as remote controls) on both of them. The 4G LTE connection can be used as a mobile hotspot, allowing up to eight Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) tethered devices to connect.

Both the 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch DROID XYBOARDs will be available by the discontinue of the year with the 10.1" slate going for $529.99 with 16GB of storage, $629.99 for double that amount and $729.99 for the 64GB version. As for the DROID XYBOARD 8.2, only 16GB and 32GB version will be available for $429.99 and $529.99, respectively. Those prices seem pretty fine for LTE-flaunting slates.
