Wizkid has become the only Prolific Nigerian artiste to go Platinum twice in Canada.

The big announcement was made via his approved licenced official news and fan page on Instagram.

The bomb melody which had a global collaboration from international rapper Drake was certified Platinum on January 13 after the melody garnered over 80,000 unit sales in Canada.

This comes barely four months ago after it was Certified Gold In The US

Making the announcement, Wizkid’s fan page wrote,

NEWS  @wizkidayo’s “Come Closer” including @drake is now certified platinum in Canada for sales of 80,000+ units! 

This is Wizkid’s second melody to go platinum or higher — first as lead. He’s the first and only Prolific Nigerian artist to go platinum in Canada (2x). Our first certification of the year!
